The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert

fast-paced
I can see why some love it and some hate it. I thought it started of verry well. I thought: this is going to be a five star. But the further on I read the less I liked it. By the end I couldn't wait to finish it. There was nothing explicitly wrong with it and it was unlike anything I have read. It was unique enoug. So I would recommend if it really seems something you would like.

It just wasn't for me, missed the mark. There happened a lot and at the same time I was bored. At first I wanted to know what was going on and 2/3 of the book we are doing the same thing. By the time we new what was going on the story was ruched. The writing wasn't that great in this book either. I did get the fairytale vibes at times. My biggest problem is that things were so badly explained that I just had lost interest by the end. Motivations and certain plot points were not or badly explained. (Yes you could see this wasn't intentional).

Verry sad as I looooooved our crooked hearts soooo much.
