Pretty good story in its own right. I enjoyed the characters and their dynamic the most. The prose is a bit repetitive and choppy, and I'm not sure about the magic system (from this novella, it sounds a bit overpowered). But other than that, very clean writing overall, great cover, and intriguing world-building.
