As many reviewers have previously said, I can't believe I finally made it to this point. I don't really know what to say, aside from a few very general thoughts. Though I didn't love this book as an individual installment (apparently I don't like reading 1000 pages of pure battle; it's exhausting), I do think it is a generally satisfying conclusion to an epic, 14-book fantasy series that took me three years of my life to read. So even though I would rank probably all but maybe one other WoT book ahead of this one in terms of personal enjoyment, I can't say I'm unhappy with how the story itself wrapped up. The last line had me in tears, it was so good. A Memory of Light is not a personal favorite, but the series as a whole is.

Addendum: It's been nearly two months since finishing this book, and the more I've thought about it the more I've realized I'm quite dissatisfied with Rand's final showdown with the Dark One, and equally dissatisfied with the parts that
Moiraine and Nynaeve
played to help him. This is just personal preference, as I know many people absolutely love this part of the book. On the other hand, Egwene, who started off as one of my least favorite characters at the beginning, is a favorite by the end, and I think she has the single greatest character arc in the series. So you win some, you lose some.
