The Maid by Nita Prose

A lovely murder mystery novel with a clever twist. I’m gonna be honest: I thought Molly did it and just blanked it out of her head and Rodney’s behest. However, even though it become clear whodunnit, the bringing them to justice is what really captivated me. Molly, who is likely on the spectrum but am still unsure about, finding her strength in confronting how different she is from the world and others around her was a lovely mirror to myself. I’ve also struggled with understanding others meanings and intentions, and seeing Molly come to her own and understanding the advice her Gran gave, made me love her to bits. I’m looking forward to checking out the second installment and joining Molly again.

However, I still didn’t give a 5 star because of the twist at the literal very end with Mrs. Black. That bit was inoffensive, but very confusing.
