Quest for the Hidden City by George Mann

4.0

I feel like I'm having the greatest success with the Phase II High Republic books across all age groups. The Jedi are all very endearing (and adorable, especially when they're in the MG/YA age range - the 11-18 age) and the books tie together nicely. Additionally, the actual backbone of the story is a) less incredibly boring and b) less harrowing than the Phase I story (the Pirates of Phase I are sooo boring to me, and the plot of Light of the Jedi is the stuff of nightmares). Religious tensions, endless complicated wars. The villain here is a little silly, cartoon villain, but it is literally a middle grade star wars novel. Love a buried Jedi Temple.
