The Silver Chain by S. A. Daley

adventurous dark emotional mysterious tense fast-paced

5.0

This book is everything a fan of the paranormal or supernatural could want. Werewolves. Vampire. Witches. Yes! Thank you S.A. Daley for putting it all in one place.

As a debut novel this stands out among the pack! Pun intended. The realistic settings as well as the fantastical are masterfully intertwined to be an immersive experience for a reader looking to escape the real world but, maybe not really all in for the fantasy world at the moment.

The fact that the supernatural creatures all exist and walk among humans gives this story all the vibes I need. While I was reading I couldn’t help but start to be reminded of True Blood or even Vampire Diaries (because of the settings not the high school drama). I appreciated the nods to some of my favorite shows and book series in that respect. I also LOVE the author’s realism, even in describing what “the shift or the change” would be like for a werewolf. Like hello this can’t be al that sexy people. Their bones break and shift!

I would recommend this book to anyone who loved True Blood even the spice of that show 😉😉. The spice in this book is ON POINT with hotness but, definitely fits in with the storyline and doesn’t take away from the plot.

I will leave this review with two more thoughts:

Luke is drool worthy and will be your favorite PI and next book boyfriend.

The Claw only 🌶🌶 the only time shifting has been sexy.
