i picked this up after finishing a book that triggered me, and this was absolutely the best choice i could’ve made.
the story made me so happy. i was kicking my legs in the air whenever akio and izumi shared romantic moments. i was sobbing (of happiness) and even had to put the book down to bury my face in my hands to squeal. LOVE this book!!
i can’t wait to pick up tokyo dreaming!!
also, read this on a loan. i NEED a physical copy NOW!! this book is going to be a comfort fr and i want my own copy to mark up and highlight all of akio and izumi’s moments!!

i’m so happy with how the story ended!! akio gifting her the keychain (also akio literally waiting outside the palace for days for her????!!!!!), the twins small redemption arc, even izumi’s parents reconnecting and basically agreeing to doing long distance…PERFECT!! what a way to tie such an already amazing story together!!i can’t wait to pick up tokyo dreaming!!
