You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson

4.0

Type of read: Commuter (listened to and from work)

What made me pick it up: Reese Book Club YA Pick

Overall rating: You Should See Me in a Crown made me laugh, made me cry, and made me rethink some of my high school days. I'm not saying that this is the type of book that will change your life but I am saying that this is a really great take on a common high school experience. I liked Liz, the main character, and her supporting characters. There were a lot of delicate topics in the book that I thought were handled beautifully and with respect. I would suggest this book to my peers as well as a younger audience (middle-high school). The ending was somewhat predictable; however, I still like how it played out and was told.
