I really liked the beginning and middle of this book but I felt like the end was a little bit rushed. The world building was EXCELLENT and I really felt captured by the magic system and the characters but the plot ended up being pushed to the side in favor of that.
Another thing that bothered me about this was that the book brands itself as an LGBT romance but there is no romance until the very very end. If you’re going to brand yourself as being a gay fantasy book at least make it a little more gay? Idk!
Overall I enjoyed it though!! I wonder if there is going to be a sequel, because the ending seems to frame one. I would probably read a sequel if it was centered on the romance a little more.
