Carrie by Stephen King

5.0

I'm glad I got to read Stephen King's first novel - he has always been a master storyteller! Reading Carrie made me feel a bit disturbed (especially at the weird fanatic mom), repulsed, and sad for Carrie White. She was sort of a victim of circumstances, the telekinesis was a gift more than anything. The ending was so dark, but honestly, I was feeling my deepest sympathy for Carrie having to go through so much humiliation. School can be a lousy place.
