A Wedding in Apple Grove by C.H. Admirand

5.0

A WEDDING IN APPLE GROVE by C.H. Admirand is not only a fabulous contemporary romance, but a fantastic start to a new series. This small town romance has a fabulous couple and a lot of heart.

Daniel Eagen's drive into Apple Grove, Ohio was to be the beginning of a new start. After a bad break up that broke his heart, he was hoping the job as the new physical education teacher at Apple Grove High School would change his life. Yet before he even makes it to his new home, he rescues a beautiful young woman falling off a fence rail. Their attraction is instant and their budding relationship is the best piece of gossip in town.

Megan Mulcahy can ignore the gossip, but she can't ignore her overwhelming feelings for Dan. She knows things are moving a little too fast, but he has made her feel alive for the first time in a long while. The only problem is Dan keeps putting the brakes on anything that is developing between them. As frustrating as it seems, Meg has to decide if she can wait for Dan to forget his ex or if she needs to move on to greener pastures.

You read A WEDDING IN APPLE GROVE for the romance, but become enchanted by all the other characters. Whether it was Meg's family or all the residents of Apple Grove, they are what made this book an absolute gem. They all had unique personalities that were both charming and entertaining. It's such a diverse group of people, you can pick at least one or more characters that reminds you of a person in your own life. The gossip mill which lets news travel is so much fun to experience. It's not something that is malicious, but all done in fun and concern. It demonstrates how much the community loves each other and helps each other out. It's the perfect set up to experience the best of small towns.

With great characters comes great dialogue. Ms Admirand knows how to craft the perfect scene and interaction between her characters. Plenty of the Apple Grove residents have the spunky, vibrant attitude that makes you laugh. They are quirky people and the way they communicate with one another is very entertaining. Especially Dan and Meg. Their flirtatious manner with one another will have you smiling from ear to ear. The first time they meet, you get to experience just how hot the sparks are flying between them and it was definitely an excellent start to this romance novel. Really, their romance goes full speed ahead from there. They are a very sexy couple and they ignite the pages with their shared passion. There are a few hiccups with Dan and the trouble he has committing which is really the only major conflict in their relationship. His problems can become a little frustrating after a few chapters, but of course it all turns out okay in the end.

A WEDDING IN APPLE GROVE is an easy-going, fun read. There isn't a lot of drama or tension, it really is a light read, which I appreciated. There is just so much to love about this novel whether it be the romance, the small town or the charming characters. C.H. Admirand has started a great series by creating memorable characters that you want to visit again and again. A WEDDING IN APPLE GROVE just goes to prove that Ms Admirand is a great storyteller and has much to offer. I highly recommend this novel if you are looking for a truly heartwarming contemporary romance.
