Orry gives this a 4.5 because he thought there would be a whole journey involved, but he didn’t have to do much to prove himself as a hero. Rendi is more of an anti-hero, according to Orry.
I found myself drifting as I read this aloud, thinking of other things and not paying attention to the book. But I know this is not as good as Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. There are less stories built in. I would definitely still read the third book in this series, the one with the white cover that came out in the last few years.
