From a Buick 8 by Stephen King

From a Buick 8. After reading reviews, I had been putting off this read for quite some time. I’m currently halfway through the dark tower series and want to read as many books that are intertwined with the series and this was on the list so I went for it.

I have to say it’s not terribly bad as some have described, no it is not a top King book. But I enjoyed the sections where things actually happened with the car. Might be just me but I didn’t feel this book was as descriptive or built the world as well as other works by King.

How does it all tie with the Dark Tower? It’s not as direct as some other works such as heart in Atlantis or BlackHouse. But I think the Buick was the same as the cars from little men in yellow coats. Not exactly but I got that vibe after reading about the car and the way the man in black just disappeared and left the car. The creatures didn’t necessarily sound the same as some in the dark tower series but I can see them coming from the blasted lands or another world because as we know, there are other worlds than these.
