It Ain't Me, Babe by Tillie Cole

1.0

Omg no.

Styx was just terrible. He saw Mae deadly hurt and almost the first thing he thought was how hot she was. Like...calm down bro. (also I can't even count how many times he thought about her fat nipples. If I get dolar every time, I would afford therapy)

Mae was just naive. Literally. I don't remember any other personality trait. I get that she had deep trauma but it wasn't shown any other way. It felt almost like she remembered that she was locked away her whole life only when author found it convenient. Which wasn't much and definitely not when she was intimate with Styx, even though she was SAed most of her life.

“I have always been his. I will never see anyone else. I will always be his and his alone.”

Girl. You literally saw him 15 years ago. Saw him. And then met him like month ago and most of this time he was gone. But you love him.
I get it, I get it. You have trauma and stick to anyone who is treating you with the smallest amount of respect. I really get it. But loving him? I don't think so.

And Styx, if you rape her one more time, I'll find you and kill you. Doesn't matter that you slept with her before. You know what she's gone through. Don't you think that you shouldn't touch her in sleep? Just suggestion. I know that she didn't really care afterwards but she might have not reacted that way, you sick motherf*cker.

Also they had no chemistry. Like absolute zero.

Thanks for reading my absolutly crappy and confusing review
