Elevator Pitch by Evelyn Leigh

this was very okay. selah and greyson were cute, i liked their friends, i enjoyed how much the author showed us the benefits of therapy, and it was nice seeing these characters so understood and loved by the people around them.
unfortunately…the dialogue was quite cringe at times, and the love scenes were not a fave of mine at all (the car scene kinda ate thooooo). some scenes in the book seemed longer than they needed to be, but then moments that i wanted explored simply weren’t. lots of conversations and plot that we should have directly witnessed were told in recaps (RECAPS!!!!!!????) including what should have been a major love scene that took place during a time they were desperately yearning for each other but were feeling hopeless about it.
why wouldn’t you flesh that out??????
because of this, the pacing took a hell of a hit, at least for me. it felt like i was playing catch up, like i missed an episode.
also, this book reminded me how much i dislike daddy kink and good girl, and it sucked that there was so much of it.
anyway, there were many cute moments as well, and audrey was a standout character for me.
i just wish the book had been structured differently, because when it was sweet, it was SWEET.
