This book was just really underwhelming for me. Apparently it's told over a 10 year span but not enough appeared to change each year to make that passage of time obvious. Everyone seemed to mostly stay the same.

I didn't really care about any of the characters, no-one was particularly likable. Also the ending was very abrupt, it just stopped. Also there were letters at the end between the fictional man who wrote this "history" and the woman whose name it was published under. These letters just added more questions. What year is this? How long has this been going on? Why are men apparently now seen as gentle and the better leaders? Why is there doubt that women before didn't have these abilities?
