The Best Life Book Club by Sheila Roberts
3.0

This was a feel good, cozy, low drama, story for me. It's a story about second chances and starting over. Karissa is trying to move past the fall out of her husband having an affair with her best friend and neighbor. Karissa and her daughter Macy move from Seattle to Gig Harbor, WA to create a new life. They are both lonely and sad about losing friends and the life they had. But they slowly both begin to make new friends and carve themselves new lives. Karissa starts a book club with her new neighbors Alice and Margot and Alice's sister Josie joins them.
I enjoyed the literary references that were woven throughout the story. The book club provided support, encouragement, and friendship. All four ladies grew and started to flourish when they leaned on each other. I liked how the ending is wasn't perfectly tied up but more real life with the promise of better tomorrows.
