Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

http://nwhyte.livejournal.com/1210889.html[return][return]I loved this book when I first read it twenty years ago and I enjoyed the return journey now. The fractured narrative of Yossarian's response to the dehumanising horror of war is also very funny in places (my favourite scene is the mass outbreak of moaning at the Avignon briefing). Awful and yet hilarious.
