Unfortunately, I saw where this was heading by the time I was 50 pages in. As a consequence, I didn't really need most of the rest of the story, which meant I was just waiting for it to be over. It was an interesting way, though, of discussing some pertinent philosophical topics, and Reid does a good job of looping things back together. I don't love it, but I can see why many people do.
