Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me about Life, Faith, and Second Chances by Rachel Anne Ridge

5.0

This book was full of humor, heart-felt revelations, self-reflection, and beauty. Rachel Anne Ridge writes phenomenally and did a wonderful job of grasping my attention, relating to the reader, and prompting me to reflect on myself.
I was given this book by one of my Prayer Warriors and it is one of the best books I've been gifted in a long time. The blend of God and common humanity reminded me that our time on this earth is difficult, but so beautiful as we are God's children, and He wills us to continue growing throughout our time on earth.
I was warmed by how Ridge exposed her humanity and acted as a mirror to the things in my life I often breeze past in haste. This book has been so inspiring for me to reside in the place I am in at the moment I'm in it, to extend my abilities despite fear, and to find grace for all things in this world.
I would recommend this book to those looking for an easy yet "deep" book tha both lights you up and grounds you.
