This is not one of Mankell's mysteries. It probably has limited appeal but I liked it - or perhaps "liked it" isn't the right way to put it; rather, it was a compelling book to read.

The main character is over 65 - this adds something as far as I'm concerned. Old(er) people can also have a life, so to speak.
