My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout

I wanted something shorter and I recognized this title and author from a friend’s mentioning them so I immediately started listening on audio. This book is sad and tender and beautiful and simple but also a little complex. It’s like a window into a life for brief period that also shows so much more. I’m not sure how to describe this book (novella?) but I’m glad I listened and know it’s going to stick with me for a while.
