Truly, Devious by Maureen Johnson

2.0

Meh. Ugh. So boring, so slow-paced, so meeeeh. I was expecting so much more. I think this book wanted to do TOO much and nothing really worked for me. I thought the concept was really cool but I just did not enjoy the way the author made it work.

I didn’t care about the characters AT ALL, not ONE single character was interesting to me. I didn’t care about the mystery (either of them).

The book was to slow, nothing really happened until [redacted] died and even their death was uninteresting.

Also THE ENDING??? I was laughing out loud at how ridiculous it was, like ??? Who cared about THAT guy?? I thought the ending would save the book for me and make me want to continue with the series but after that? NOPE.

- The only good thing about the book was the good representation of anxiety/panic attacks. I really felt connected to the main character because of that.
