The Unspoken Name
by A.K. Larkwood
This was a wonderfully unique fantasy novel, with great writing, awesome world-building, and characters that evolve over the course of the book.
Most of the plot points were wrapped up by the end of the novel, but I am looking forward to seeing where the author takes the story. There were some flawed, unpleasant characters, and a reader's reaction to these characters and their changing attitudes may influence how much the reader enjoys the book.
I will be recommending this and will definitely read the next book by the author.
Appeal terms: World-building, strong sense of place, LGBTQIA diverse, flawed characters
ARC received from Tor via Edelweiss in exchange for a fair review.
