Recommend to me by my sister in law, who insisted that this was one of her favourites that she read every summer. Okay, I thought, I'll give it a shot.

I should have know what I was in for after I fell in love with her last recommendation.

This is such a layered and complex tale. The character development is in point. I love the paths they all take - good, bad, or otherwise. I truly think so many different real people were captured within these pages.

Absolutely loved it, and would have read in a handful of sittings if adult life wasn't so demanding.
