I loved this beautiful, beautiful book. What a feel-good, positive read. I enjoyed Lisa Wingate's book The Story Keeper but this one was much more special. This book had the potential to focus on some toxic characters but every time it could have delved into that drama that many other books go for, the author expertly steered things back to the positivity and the grace of this story. As I read it I felt my grandmother close by, her faith in the goodness in people and power of prayer was unshakeable. Miss Iola Anne Poole is an inspiration and I'll take her lessons with me.
