by Jacqueline Winspear
Maisie Dobbs #8
It is a very strange thing to be immersed in Maisie's London of 1932, watching the rise of the Nazi party both in Germany and in Britain, and knowing what will be happening next. One has the odd feeling of wanting to shout to the characters, "YES!! You are right to be worried, to be concerned. Make those stupid men in the Secret Service listen to you!!"
But they can't hear us, us from the future who know the horrors to come . . .
