Fair in War by Perry Elisabeth Kirkpatrick

5.0

What began as a simple pique of interest with this series after reading so many raving reviews about [b:Red Rover, Red Rover|43699455|Red Rover, Red Rover (The Accidental Cases of Emily Abbott, #1)|Perry Elisabeth Kirkpatrick|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1548372477l/43699455._SY75_.jpg|67996954] (PERMA-FREE on Amazon!) has become a joyful reading addiction. I once said I could totally see myself finishing/catching up with the series this summer and I have. I sped through them all, drinking in the exciting adventures, the loveable characters and well-placed humor. This series got me through some rough days and for that alone, I'm grateful.

While Fair in War isn't one of my top favorites, it was the most intense and dangerous by far. The surprise twist was shocking and the cliffhanger at the end...I need more. Carter needs to return and I kinda shipping him and Izzy. Also, I liked that there were more Christian elements and a good reminder to lean on God more than man.

All in all, this is my favorite series I've read this year. And until the next installment, I shall be waiting with bated breath. I'll probably check out Perry's other books too. But I feel nothing can compare. I'm really going to miss reading these.

Giving it 4.5 stars. I can't recommend this enough, go check it out for yourself.
