Yeah, this one didn't work for me, so I began skimming rapidly for book club.  First person present tense an irritant again, along with the immaturity of both MCs through the first half (continuing with the FMC mostly because it's single POV.)  HOA and MLM humor left me high and dry. Felt she acquired a lot of 'humor' from Twitter threads. Her mom and dad were great and I enjoyed the dotty Ashleigh, the instant BFF in town.  Ruby was an all-caps EXTRA person, beyond belief. Awarding .75 for the creative flamingos and the surprise gesture at the close along with the warm side characters.
