As a medical transcriptionist/medical editor who studied hard to train for this profession, and has worked from home for 10 years, supporting myself and my family by doing this job, I did not appreciate my job being compared to the equivalent of a "sweatshop" with the quality of the transcription suggesting it is completed by a "lemur who's been trained to type." Excuse me? This author came across as extremely arrogant and condescending about his patients and other health care workers and this tone was continual throughout the portion I read. I couldn't continue. DNF, thank goodness.
