The Walled City by Ryan Graudin

4.0

I went into reading this book withouxt any expectations which I'm glad I did as I didnt have any pre concieved notions on if I would enjoy it or not.

A dystopian thriller taken place in Hong Kong and was so beautifully written despite what is happening in the story.

Apparently, this book was based on a true city that once existed. Now, the city in this book is completely fictional, however it's obvious that Ryan did her research. She was able to fully create this world that felt so real that I felt like I was in this sick and twisted walled city.

Its hard to come across a book where the interactions between each characters and they all somehow comnect and its the wait on how they connect eventually that brings a thrill to this beautifully written book

Unlike other Dystopians this one has no romance and I think if there was it would of ruined it for me.
