if I could form a more coherent thought about nie mingjue and jin guangyao being opposite sides of the same coin and narrative foils of each other, this would be a much better review. but it's the sacrificing your goals for your morality vs sacrificing your morality for your goals and how they can't understand that about each other that gets me everytime
