When All Is Said by Anne Griffin
4.0

I love the concept of this book. Set in Ireland and told in essentially 5 parts each focusing on Maurice Hannigan’s relationship with whomever he is toasting. There are interwoven stories that are pieced together throughout all of the different stories as you get to know more and more about Hannigan, a grumpy but also soft old man. There’s humor, heart and some drama in the story. I definitely enjoyed this book from start to finish. While I wasn’t a huge fan of Ove, I think this is one to read if you love cranky old men and wonderful storytelling.
