A gorgeous read. Loveable characters, Daphne and Kostas, their love story and the coninuing story of their daughter Ada, 16 year old londoner. Explores complicated history of the island Cyprus and the Turkish and Greekā€™s who lived there, the devestating effects of civil war.
The fig tree is an important character and narrator, bringing attention to the intricate world of wildlife, trees, birds, insects, butterflies and their overlooked importance.
