serene216 's review for:
Wham!, George Michael, and Me
by Andrew Ridgeley
Wham was a big part of my growing up. Those songs are part of the Soundtrack of my life (both Wham and George's solo career) .
I really enjoyed hearing the story from Andrew's POV about how he and George met, how Wham became big and how Andrew took a step aside to help George flourish as a Solo Artist. I loved hearing the story about their experience in China (Andrew was right, the video footage of that in the 80's did not provide a lot of insight), how their songs came to be and how George got his wish when last Christmas hit #1 (sadly it was after his passing). This book kept me very engaged and I also enjoyed seeing the photos throughout the book. I would highly recommend this book, especially to those who grew up listening to Wham and/or George Michael as a solo artist.
