Deception Game
by Will Jordan
This one got a bit muddled for me, what with all the double- and triple-crosses going on, but things were satisfactorily brought together in the end, even with what felt like an out-of-the-blue plot involving Ryan's family.
Still, past characters and threads are brought together in ways that challenge both, as well as the reader's perceptions thereof. Which culminates in a welcome shift for the series, as the greater plot behind everything can no longer be ignored.
A solid entry in the series that only disappointed me by not being quite as personally engaging as the last one. Still very much invested in the story!
