Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
5.0

A truly wonderful book; I see why it's so popular! I particularly enjoyed all the different perspectives we got throughout Lessons in Chemistry, it expanded the story and gave it a real depth. I was also impressed by how Garmus managed to strike the balance between period-accurate sexism and misogyny and still giving her characters a happy ending. Nothing felt too unrealistically optimistic, but nothing felt like it was beating you down, either. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!
