The best sapphic dark romance book BY FAR. Unlike your typical enemies to lovers. It’s not a “I hate everyone but you.” or a classic bullying because i like you. It’s a “I like everyone EXCEPT you, actually i hate you so much I do everything I can to make your life miserable, because you’re the one thing that tore my life apart.”
Juliette is cruel. She’s mean, she's manipulative, vindictive, and just downright not a good person. But her character development is just magnificent. It’s not just loathing YOU, it’s loathing YOURSELF for the both of them and its beautiful to see them work everything out.
Juliette is a bully to Adeline (and everyone else) but Adeline gives it right and sometimes she can be even crueler than Juliette. It’s a push and pull, back and forth, I hate you till the VERY end and it’s so addictive!
