Batgirl, Vol. 2: Son of Penguin
by Hope Larson
The second volume of Batgirl follows Barbara as she becomes entangled and involved with Ethan Cobblepot, son of Penguin. She soon discovers his involvement with "a big bad" tech company. Then the volume switches and Batgirl teams up with Super girl in National City for a rescue mission and ends with them turning on the Bat signal without the commissioner's permission.
Again, another volume that is just okay. I enjoyed some of the commentary on technology and social media and the "girl power" from Batgirl and Supergirl. This volume feels rushed and that there are two different plots being told. I enjoyed the ending and the cliffhanger feeling and interested to see what happens next.
