An anthology book with various stories in the star Trek universe ranging from a surprise birthday party for Captain Kirk to a planet that changes the gender of ships that come onto it.
The last poem had me gasping I didn't think they'd publish that in a star trek book!
Overall the stories are distinct in their content and while there are standouts all the stories have interesting concepts. While the genderbent story has some outdated concepts of gender (consistent with TOS) it's a really fascinating look into the psyche of how it would affect these characters. It's also actually really funny that it's implied Mcoy can still do his job as a woman but somehow Kirk can't? Women doctors? acceptable. Women captains? No dice. (I know this is to stay consistent with canon it's just hilarious)
