The Knights of the Kitchen Table by Jon Scieszka

4.0

I think that I had probably read this before because it felt familiar, but I needed the reread. This book is quick, funny, and a very good choice for beginnings readers. I'm interested in where they go next and there's definitely a good set up for a series here. It's more engaging than series like The Magic Tree House was, but that's mainly because the book throws you right in and is witty all the way through. I will keep this one in mine for recommendations.

For: fans of fantasy and adventure; beginning readers.

Possible red flags: crude humor.
