The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz

5.0

The story of an overweight Dominican nerd whose greatest fear is that he will die a virgin, told as a multi-generational whirlwind Tarantinoesque family saga, so tragic, raucous and exhilarating, so suffused in energy, punch and spice, I think Junot Díaz might have written a modern-day masterpiece.
