Something about this book just didn’t connect with me. I’ll start by saying I love Catherine Doyle - The Twin Crows series was one of my favourites last year, but there was just something not as good about this one. Maybe it’s me, but I felt the novel read quite young while at the same time dealing with adult topics and language; there was a disconnect that sometimes seemed jarring and overall left me underwhelmed, I also found the plot kind of predictable and I saw each of the twists coming. I’ll carry on with the series, mainly because I’ve already bought them - and because Luca’s kinda cool
Sophie has to end up with him in the end, right?
