💭 Buckle up, book besties, because *Till Death Parts Us* by Caz Redpath is an emotional rollercoaster that brings the heat with romantic suspense and legal drama—oh, and a dash of insta-love (but more on that later 😉).

The story follows Lucy, whose life gets thrown upside down when her father is arrested for murder. While the world is convinced of his guilt, Lucy is determined to clear his name. Enter James Weatherston, a fresh-out-of-law-school defense lawyer eager to prove his worth. He’s got his doubts about Lucy’s dad, but once he meets Lucy? Well, let's just say, James is ready to throw his caution to the wind and go all-in on this case—and on *her*. Yeah, things move fast. Maybe a little *too* fast.

Now, I’m usually not a big fan of insta-love (seriously, James was willing to risk it all for Lucy after knowing her for what felt like 0.2 seconds 😅), but in their defense, the stakes are *insanely* high. Lucy’s father’s life is hanging in the balance, and Lucy herself is fighting to stay afloat with no one in her corner except James. Their connection? Instant and intense. And while I caught myself thinking, “Slow down, you two,” their chemistry did give us some *gorgeous* moments. There’s something undeniably swoony about two people finding each other in the middle of a storm. And the *quotes*, y’all. Prepare to highlight your heart out! ❤️
That said, if their love had developed over, say, a year, I probably would’ve been even *more* obsessed. But hey, if you’re into a whirlwind romance with high-stakes drama, this book is calling your name.

Speaking of high stakes—the case! Oh man, the twists and turns had me flipping pages *non-stop*. I won’t spoil anything, but let’s just say there were a couple of plot points I saw coming (I mean, I do love playing detective), but even then, Redpath kept me on my toes. The alternating POVs between Lucy and James worked *so* well. I loved how we got to see both sides of their struggle—Lucy’s unwavering belief in her father’s innocence and James’s growing inner conflict as he balanced his feelings for her with the mounting evidence.

Oh, and let’s talk about the side characters for a sec—because they are *everything*. James’ bromance with Daines is HILARIOUS. The banter and childhood friendship between them gave me life. And Daines and his girlfriend, Angie? I ship them SO hard. Seriously, Caz, where’s their love story? I need it ASAP.

As for Lucy, my heart broke for her. She’s grappling with the very real question: Do we ever *really* know our parents? She’s fighting for her dad while also battling the possibility that he might not be who she thought he was. It’s such a lonely and vulnerable position, but Lucy’s bravery shone through, even when things felt impossible.

The ending left me with a lot of feelings—some good, some bittersweet. There are a few loose threads, and I’ll admit I was left wanting *just a little more* resolution, but overall, I was satisfied. And the possibility of a sequel? YES, PLEASE. I need more of these characters and their messy, emotional lives.

Thank you so much to Caz Redpath for the ARC❤️

"Beautiful women will be the death of me."

"My father had always said I was a little soft. I didn’t regret being soft, but I wanted to be able to shield my emotions when I needed to"

"I would listen to her talk forever if it made her feel better. I couldn’t even imagine the amount of pain she was carrying around in her heart, I wanted to help her fix it."

"It takes a special kind of person to fight for someone like this. To be willing to go to bat for them when no one else will.”

"I would take a man who was brave over a man who was overconfident."

"I had always believed that people fell into your life exactly when you need them."

“You loved Amber?” I asked, clearing my throat.
“With everything I had."

“Have you ever been in love, James?” I shook my head. Truthfully, I’d barely been in relationships. A girlfriend here and there, but I’d always preferred the casual approach.
“If you had ever been in love, you would understand. One minute you feel like you are dragging yourself through life, and the next, they walk into it and everything changes. All those things you thought mattered, don’t. The only thing that matters is them and you would do anything for them.”

"I would not have previously described myself as a violent man, but if I had been there, I would have made him hurt for going near her. For even laying a single finger on her head."

"Her face beamed up at me as I turned to look at her. She was beautiful, truly and completely beautiful. I felt like the luckiest guy in the world to even breathe the same air as her."

"Awaking to hear Lucy screaming was one of the most terrifying sounds I had ever heard."

"I don’t think I had been someone’s first choice or top priority before, but James was choosing me. He was choosing to work my father’s case with me over everything else. I placed my hand on his arm and he smiled."

"It was hard to describe how I felt about James. As his hands touched me, I didn’t feel nervous or shy. I don’t have butterflies raging a war in my stomach. I feel completely and utterly calm in his presence. I feel safe."

"Lucy seemed to push me out of my comfort zone in the best possible way. Everything came out so effortlessly when I was with her. Thoughts of Alice had been hidden away in my head for so long, but I wanted to tell Lucy everything about her. I wanted to tell her about how I was hurting; I knew she would make it better."

"I meant what I said to Lucy, I was choosing her. I knew the stakes and it didn’t matter.
I was willing to risk it all for Lucy Davis."

“This is probably a bad idea,” she said, looking at me as we broke off the initial kiss.
“A terrible one,” I agreed, going back to kissing her again. We all needed to give in to a bad idea every now and then. I didn’t think about my career or the case. I didn’t care about any of it at the moment. The only thing I cared about was being close to her. It didn’t matter what I needed to sacrifice to keep Lucy, I would do it."

"Dance with me?” There was never even a fleeting thought of denying Lucy anything she asked for, even if I was nervous to dance with her. When it came to Lucy Davis, no wasn’t in my vocabulary."

"I could spend the rest of my life dancing with James Weatherston."

"It was incredible how even the smell of someone you loved made you feel safe."

"As people, I feel we are always searching for love wherever we can get it, even if it is a small dose. We thrive off of it. I know that even despite the heartbreak of my situation, James’ love has pulled me through all of it. Without his love, I am not sure I would have survived this situation. I would have just become a shell of myself.
I hoped I never knew a world without James’ love again."

“God, I hope I go first,” he said with a sad smile. “Because I couldn’t live a day without you, Lucy Weatherston,” he said, emphasising my new last name as he spoke.
I don’t know if I could ever live without him, either."

"I love you, Lucy Weatherston. I will find you in every lifetime."

"I see you in Elijah’s smile, Alice’s eyes, and Lucas’ laugh. All three of them carry around my favourite part of you.” A smile graced my lips. “They have your kind heart, James. Your selfless nature. That desire you always had to help everyone around you.” I wiped my face with my sleeve."

"One of James’ best traits was also his downfall. He was determined to help everybody around him. It was what I loved most about him, and in the end, it was the reason he was taken from me."
