wow. this is an absolutely terrifying but unfortunately really necessary book. AI is killing our brains, and it's killing women and marginalised communities too.
the book interrogates lots of interesting topics including the bias AI carries with it due to the material it's trained on and the impact of this on society, down to your chances when you apply for jobs. it also challenges the really uncomfortable (and at times incredibly disgusting) dangers of the increasing availability of AI technology for 'lonely' men. how do we expect men who spend their days chatting with their AI 'girlfriend' or shagging their AI sex robot (who never say no) to interact with real women? how will they react when real women say no?
i listened to the audiobook, narrated by the author, and i really recommend it.
