This was so good! From the first few chapters, I was hooked by the rich world building and unique magic system. Nikole Sekula created a universe that feels immersive and lived-in, full of tension, mystery, and just the right amount of danger.
Eva was such a standout character. Everyone underestimated her at first, but watching her grow, step into her power, and prove everyone wrong was deeply satisfying. She’s the kind of protagonist you root for with your whole heart — fierce, resilient, and just a little stubborn in the best way.
If you’re a fan of ACOTAR or The Artefacts of Ouranos series, this book is right up your alley. It gives you that same epic fantasy feel, with slow-burn tension, powerful magic, and a world you want to get lost in. I need book two now because that cliffhanger was brutal!
