Get Dirty by Gretchen McNeil

3.0

I'm not sure which book of Don't Get Mad, I liked better. But the ending to this one was great... although a little expected. There were a few twists towards the end that would've been a great wrap up, but then Gretchen decides to steer you away from that and give readers a more boring and predicted ending-- which was disappointing. So if you're big on surprise endings, you may not like this one. As far as the characters go, I was pleased to see how each of the four girls developed in ways that I thought Gretchen wouldn't do. But, the corniness from book one is still in this one. It overuses cliche dialogue and makes me want to flick the characters. The book was up and down a lot of the time, and not in the good way. One minute, they're talking about murder, the next they're laughing together about something. It just didn't make sense. As a reader, I didn't feel part of their environment at all, to be honest. Would I recommend this series? No. Am I glad I read it? Yes.
