I found this complex, thought-provoking sci-fi sublimely gratifying. It is superbly written with excellent dialogue and plotting.

There is a satisfying amount of action mixed in the story, but the real cream here is the deep, slowly unraveling mystery. Its unfolding is paced very nicely.

There were things I did not like
such as the quasi-religious climate alarmism and anticapitalist subplot (Mother Earth punished humanity for its sins against her, which was caused by wealth inequality somehow?)
. Even so, I liked this book enough to give it 5 stars.
