 I’m a bit torn on this one. I really enjoyed Hook, the first in this series, but I struggled to get into this one. I’m not sure if it’s because Hook was in a modern day setting and this wasn’t if it was because I listened to this as an audiobook vs. read it or what. I found myself half listening to this one and wasn’t entirely invested or giving it my full attention until more than halfway through it, when the pace picked up and more action began to happen. 

 

The pace on this one was just too slow for me, but when things picked up I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I just wish it hadn’t taken more than half the book for that to happen. While I didn’t enjoy this one, I am interested in reading the other books in this series since I liked Hooked.
