3.5
This book was a definite improvement on the last one, although it's an argument for the books because of how well the character development worked.
I loved the mates. Their transition between books was handled so well, and I love Shira. My favourite scenes were the last 80% of the book featuring the trials and it added to it, because this book lacked a clear plot aim to it like the last.
I liked it, but 3.5 is as high I'd rate it. Easy reading.
